Each Mega Stone can be purchased once. AZ gives you the Mega Stone for your chosen first partner—Meganiumite, Emboarite, or Feraligite—rather than selling it to that save file. The other two partner stones become available after the main story.

- Your journey will take you to all manner of sights in the streets arrayed around Prism Tower, including shops, restaurants, and places called wild zones—where Pokémon roam free.
- As you catch, train, and battle Pokémon, there will be plenty of people to meet too—like AZ, the enigmatic owner of Hotel Z.
The Emporium is not the only way to obtain Mega Stones, and it does not sell every Mega Stone in the game. The Pokémon Company explains that a Pokémon must hold a Mega Stone to Mega Evolve, and identifies both the Emporium and Quasartico Inc.’s Mega Shard exchange as acquisition routes: Making the Most of Your Adventure. Other stones are obtained through story battles or other methods; Nintendo Life’s Mega Stone locations guide documents examples. Quasartico Inc. uses Mega Shards, unlike the Emporium’s Pokédollar prices.
