The game is listed for PS5, PC storefronts and Xbox, but no release date has been announced on the current PlayStation or Steam listings.
What is Tides of Annihilation?
Tides of Annihilation is an action-adventure inspired by Arthurian legends. Eclipse Glow Studio introduced it as a PS5 game in the February 12, 2025 State of Play. Its story places players in a mystical, fractured London after an otherworldly invasion.
You play as Gwendolyn, a survivor searching for the Holy Grail to save her sister and restore the world. The setting connects a transformed modern London with a medieval fantasy realm shaped by Arthurian influences. The developer’s reveal describes clues and Grail Shards to find across those realms, as well as colossal knights that players can climb, explore and fight.
How does the knight combat work?
Summons with different roles
Gwendolyn can summon spectral knights to fight alongside her. In the original reveal, Eclipse Glow described two knights manifested at her side, with different roles such as attacking, defending and enabling combos. Players choose summons to suit their preferred style and the encounter. This is an ally-focused combat system in a single-player game, not an announcement of online co-op.

Four knights across two loadouts
In a November 20, 2025 Xbox Wire gameplay breakdown, Eclipse Glow Game Producer Kun Fu described the Dual Frontline Battle System: players configure two sets of spectral knight summons, for four knights in total, and can swap between them during combat—even mid-combo. The post discussed a showcased boss fight involving the witch Tyronoe and Sir Lamorak, where the player alternates across a mirrored realm. These are the developer’s descriptions of the displayed gameplay, not independent hands-on findings.
Kun Fu described the knights as more than combat tools: “We want players to feel that each of the knights are more than just a tool to be used, but more like a ‘sidekick’ to assist in their quest to save humanity.”

What platforms is Tides of Annihilation on?
The official PlayStation listing is for PS5. Steam has a live PC store page, and the Gamescom listing names Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation and Xbox as platforms. Those listings identify planned platforms; they do not establish that every version will launch on the same day.
The PS5 listing specifies one-player and offline play, plus vibration function and trigger effect. Those controller features do not mean existing PS5 owners need to replace their controller.

When does Tides of Annihilation come out?
No exact release date is listed on the official PS5 or Steam pages. PlayStation says “Release date to be determined,” while Steam marks the game “Coming soon” and not yet available. The Gamescom platform listing also gives no release date. A date, preorder, physical edition or publicly downloadable demo is not confirmed by these listings.
Gamescom’s materials and a TCL partner announcement refer to a demo area at the event. That establishes an event demo presence, not a public demo download.
