Its soundtrack could also be a Grammy contender, but no source confirms that it was entered or nominated. The relevant Grammy category is part of the 69th Annual Grammy Awards cycle, with nominations scheduled to be announced on November 16, 2026.
What did Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 win?
SEGA reported that the game won nine awards from 12 nominations at The Game Awards 2025. Its wins included Game of the Year, Best Score and Music, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Performance, Best Independent Game, Best Debut Independent Game and Best RPG. These are The Game Awards results as published by SEGA—not a claim that the game was named the single game of the year by every awards outlet. SEGA’s results announcement
Could the soundtrack be nominated for a Grammy?
It is possible, but a Grammy nomination is not confirmed. The Recording Academy’s 69th Annual Grammy Awards (2027) includes a category for Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media. The existence of that category does not show that the Expedition 33 soundtrack was submitted, deemed eligible or nominated. The sources available do not confirm an entry for the game’s soundtrack in this cycle.
The distinction matters: winning Best Score and Music at The Game Awards is separate from entering the Recording Academy’s process. The Academy reviews submissions for eligibility and category placement; voting by members in their areas of expertise follows. A soundtrack would need to be entered and meet the relevant rules before it could be considered for a nomination. 69th Grammy Awards rules · Recording Academy voting process

What are the Grammy dates and eligibility rules?
The Recording Academy’s 69th-cycle product eligibility period runs from August 31, 2025, through August 28, 2026. Entries were accepted online from July 7 through August 21, 2026. The Academy’s schedule sets November 16, 2026, for the nominees announcement and February 7, 2027, for the ceremony. 69th Grammy Awards dates
For a recording to meet the Academy’s stated general requirements, it must be commercially distributed or available through qualifying digital services, have an ISRC or UPC, and be available as a stand-alone purchase or audio-only stream by August 28, 2026. The video-game soundtrack category’s rules also describe composer and music-credit requirements, including a 33% playing-time threshold when multiple composers are listed. These are category and cycle rules, not proof that a particular Expedition 33 release satisfies them. Recording Academy eligibility FAQ · Category rules

The official game-site announcement about physical soundtrack editions does not establish the release date or full eligibility details of a particular recording submitted for Grammy consideration. It also does not confirm submission. Until an entry and any resulting nomination are directly confirmed, the accurate description is that the soundtrack could contend—not that it has qualified or been nominated.
