PAC-MAN Live turns the arcade game into a group activity: players wear high-tech PAC-Vests, move through a projected life-size maze, collect pellets and avoid ghosts while competing for points. Arcade Arena says no headset is required. Plan for a 50-minute visit, including about 30 minutes of maze play, and check the venue’s current booking page before travelling.
How PAC-MAN Live works
The attraction uses projection mapping and augmented-reality effects to create a life-size PAC-Maze. Players wear a PAC-Vest and move around the physical space as they collect power pellets, evade ghosts and try to score points. The operator describes bonus levels created for the live experience.
The full experience lasts about 50 minutes; the maze itself takes approximately 30 minutes. Allow for the full session rather than treating the maze-play time as the total visit duration. Arcade Arena’s Manchester FAQ gives these timings.
Where and when to play
Arcade Arena’s current FAQ says PAC-MAN Live is expected back in Manchester from the end of June and will be part of Arcade Arena London when that venue opens in September 2026. It does not give an exact Manchester return date. Check the FAQ and Manchester ticket page for current dates and availability before making travel plans.

The Manchester attraction was announced to open on 22 March 2025; that date is launch history, not confirmation that sessions are currently running. Bastion’s announcement described the original opening and the experience’s exclusive bonus levels.
Group size and booking logistics
Each PAC-Maze is designed for up to eight players. Smaller groups may be joined by other visitors. Groups of eight to sixteen are divided between two mazes and briefed together; the FAQ says multiples of eight are the best way to avoid mixing bookings. Check the booking page for the arrangement that applies to your session.

The venue recommends booking online in advance and says it is cashless. Late arrivals are not guaranteed entry, so follow the arrival time or window printed on your ticket. Tickets can be printed or scanned from a phone, provided the screen is clear and undamaged, according to the venue FAQ.
What to wear
Choose comfortable shoes and clothes that let you move freely around the maze. The venue advises against high heels and open-toed shoes.

Age and accessibility details to confirm
A Virgin Experience Days listing describes the experience as suitable for ages 8 and up, says guests under 16 need an accompanying adult aged 18 or older, and lists wheelchair accessibility. These details come from a reseller rather than Arcade Arena’s FAQ, so confirm current age, supervision and access arrangements directly with the venue before booking.
For a family or group choosing among local activities, the useful practical questions are how long the whole visit takes, whether your party may share a maze with other visitors, the venue’s current session availability, and whether the age and access arrangements suit everyone attending.
