What did Kalos have to do with the event?
Kalos is the region first featured in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y for Nintendo 3DS, a connection highlighted on the official global event page. Those games provide a thematic way to revisit Kalos, but they were not required to play Pokémon GO or participate in the Tour.

What happened to the in-person logistics and merchandise?
The official update gave Rose Bowl attendees arrival guidance, including advance parking purchase and consideration of rideshare or public transit. It also described a preorder-and-pickup option for event merchandise at Rose Bowl Stadium. These were specific to the 2026 event; the announcement does not establish that tickets, add-ons, parking arrangements, or merchandise are available now.
