For a quick Pure Quartz run in Palworld, head to the southern Astral Mountains near (-209, 250), north of the Garden Beneath the Cliffs fast-travel point. For a farm base, look around the nearby Unthawable Lake cluster. Guide pins vary slightly, so use the coordinates as a starting point and confirm the deposits in-game.
Best place to find Pure Quartz
The southern Astral Mountains are the strongest all-around starting point. VGC describes a mesa with multiple Quartz nodes near (-209, 250), north of Garden Beneath the Cliffs. Nearby Unthawable Lake pins are placed around (-200, 250) and (-211, 252).
AllThingsHow reports nine Pure Quartz deposits and one Ore node at its Unthawable Lake pin. These are guide-reported counts at specific pins, not an official resource census; the small coordinate differences reflect guide markers for the same general cluster. Palworld Companion says its coordinates were rechecked against v1.0.4 on September 25, 2026. Follow the route anchor, then scan the surrounding terrain for the actual nodes.
Other reported Quartz farming spots
If the Unthawable Lake cluster does not suit your route or base layout, guides report several alternatives. Counts below come from AllThingsHow (2026) and should be treated as location-guide estimates rather than guaranteed yields.

How to choose a spot for a farm base
Unthawable Lake is presented by guides as the highest-yield option, but the best base site depends on more than a pin or deposit count. Before placing a Palbox, check:
- How many Pure Quartz deposits fall within the Palbox radius.
- Whether nearby Ore deposits make the location more useful for your production needs.
- Whether the terrain leaves enough workable space for buildings and paths.
- How close the site is to a fast-travel landmark and how manageable the cold and local enemies are.
The Land of Absolute Zero cluster is worth considering if nearby Ore matters; a smaller cluster may be preferable if it fits your travel route or base layout. These comparisons reflect guide descriptions, not controlled in-game testing.

Prepare for the snowy region
The Astral Mountains are cold. AllThingsHow recommends Cold Resist Level 2 armor for travel and Level 3 for night trips. Treat those as guide recommendations and check your current equipment’s protection before heading out.
For automated extraction, the same guide recommends Pals with Mining Level 3 or higher. Transporting Pals can help move mined material into storage. VGC reports that the southern mountain deposits respawn, making the area suitable for repeat visits, but no exact respawn interval is established.
Automate Quartz after gathering a starter supply
AllThingsHow reports that the Feybreak update added a placeable Pure Quartz Mine. The guide lists it as a Level 50 unlock requiring five Ancient Technology Points, 70 Stone, 100 Pure Quartz, and 30 Paldium Fragments. Since the mine itself requires 100 Pure Quartz, gather an initial stock from deposits before relying on base production. Verify the unlock and costs in your current game version, as they may change with updates.

AllThingsHow lists Astegon, Frostallion Noct, Jetragon, Neptilius, and Pierdon Cryst as supplementary Pure Quartz drops. The guide characterizes mining as the more consistent collection method, so treat drops as an occasional extra rather than the main farming route.
