When did Realm Royale Reforged shut down?
Evil Mojo Games announced the planned sunset on October 18, 2024. The notice set the server shutdown for February 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. EDT. On the shutdown date, the official Steam news feed confirmed that Realm Royale Reforged had been sunset and was no longer available for play. Both posts appear in the game’s official Steam news feed.
Why was Realm Royale Reforged shut down?
Evil Mojo’s October 2024 announcement cited Hi-Rez’s recent reorganization as the context for the decision. It did not give a more specific financial, technical, or player-count reason, so claims that the game closed for any one of those reasons are not established by the announcement. Game Developer’s October 21, 2024 report also covered the planned closure.
What happened to the game and its DLC?
The shutdown notice said Realm Royale and its related DLC would be removed from digital storefronts after the servers closed. It also said players would no longer be able to purchase them. The February 2025 confirmation goes further on access: the game was no longer available to play.

Before the sunset, Evil Mojo said item prices had been reduced to one Crown and that players would receive a daily login reward of 100 Crowns until the shutdown. Those were final-period offers, not ongoing rewards.

No. Evil Mojo’s February 17, 2025 post says the game had been sunset and was no longer available for play. The official notices do not establish whether player data was retained, refunds were offered, accounts could be transferred, or a preservation or private-server option exists.
