A demo reel attributed to former Rockstar Games animator Benjamin Chue circulated online in late November 2025, showing three short clips described by gaming outlets as apparent early Grand Theft Auto VI animation work. The clips depict a man taking and returning a rental bicycle and a woman getting off a pickup truck in two different ways. Contemporary reports considered the footage likely genuine, but no official authentication of this specific reel is established in the cited coverage—and the animations do not confirm final gameplay features.
What does the demo footage show?
Reports published on December 1, 2025 said the reel opened with three brief clips. The bicycle is marked “LomBike,” an in-game label reported by outlets; that does not establish a partnership with any real-world rental company.
- In the first clip, a male character takes a bicycle from a stand, turns and mounts it.
- In another moment, he returns the bicycle to the stand.
- Two clips show a female character getting off a pickup truck in different ways, including climbing or jumping down.
Some coverage said the woman resembles Lucia, one of the characters associated with GTA VI. That is a visual comparison, not a confirmed identification.
Is the former animator’s GTA 6 leak real?
GameSpot described the clips as looking like early GTA 6 work and potentially real; PC Gamer and VGC also characterized them as apparent or seemingly GTA VI animation. Their assessments drew on the reel’s broader portfolio context: it included animation work associated with Rockstar titles such as GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Max Payne 3.
#1 Best Overall
- STUNNING VISUALS — Enhanced levels of fidelity and performance with new graphics modes featuring up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second, HDR options, ray tracing, improved texture quality, and more
- FASTER LOADING — Quicker access to the action as the world of Los Santos and Blaine County load in faster than ever before.
- ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS AND HAPTIC FEEDBACK — Feel every moment through the DualSense controller, from directional damage to weather effects, rough road surfaces to explosions, and more.
- TEMPEST 3D AUDIO — Hear the sounds of the world with pinpoint precision: the throttle of a stolen supercar, the rattle of neighbouring gunfire, the roar of a helicopter overhead, and more.
- Please note that although this game is Region Free or Region Unlocked and will work on all systems, this is the European version and may differ from the local version in age rating, labeling or instructions.
The reel was attributed in reporting to Benjamin Chue and was reportedly posted to Vimeo before being removed. Copies circulated elsewhere after its removal. Those circumstances and the outlets’ assessments support describing the material as reportedly authentic or widely regarded by contemporaneous coverage as likely genuine. The reviewed coverage does not establish direct confirmation from Rockstar or Chue. Removal and reposting alone do not show who took it down or whether Rockstar authorized or requested its removal.
What the clips do—and do not—confirm
The material was described as early, work-in-progress animation, not polished gameplay footage. VGC noted that other animations in the reel included cutscene work, so the truck sequences could have been made for a scene rather than ordinary player-controlled action. The reel cannot establish that any of these actions will appear in the final game.

- The woman’s resemblance to Lucia does not prove her identity.
- The truck animations do not confirm a final mechanic for getting on or off a vehicle.
How this differs from the 2022 GTA VI leak
This reel was a small set of clips attributed to a former animator’s portfolio. It is separate from the September 2022 network intrusion that exposed a much larger collection of early GTA VI footage. Rockstar’s statement about that earlier breach is not a response to the 2025 reel. As quoted by Ars Technica, Rockstar said: “We are extremely disappointed to have any details of our next game shared with you all in this way.”
