Uber Lab is the player nickname for Path of Exile’s Eternal Labyrinth. To enter, you generally need one Offering to the Goddess; the six map Trials are no longer required under the access change Grinding Gear Games announced in 2021. The Labyrinth’s layout changes daily, and its traps and repeated Izaro encounters make careful movement and preparation more useful than memorizing a route.
How do I unlock Uber Lab?
Grinding Gear Games’ 2021 Scourge announcement states that completing all map Trials of Ascendancy is no longer required to access the Eternal Labyrinth. It also says an Offering to the Goddess is still required; the item can come from a map Trial, trading, or other game rewards. Because the change dates to 2021 and requirements can be patch-sensitive, check the current entrance UI and league patch notes before relying on it.
The official Lord’s Labyrinth page describes entering through the Statue of the Goddess in Sarn after meeting the relevant Trial requirements. That page may reflect an earlier ruleset, so use the live game’s entrance prompt to resolve any discrepancy.
What do I need to run Uber Lab?
- One Offering to the Goddess: The community-maintained item reference describes it as a map fragment used to open the Eternal Labyrinth and says one is consumed for a run.
- A character suited to traps and boss damage: The official Labyrinth description highlights lethal trap combinations, so prepare to take damage as well as fight Izaro.
- Time to finish the attempt: A community-maintained Labyrinth reference says death, disconnection, logging out, or leaving ends the run. Confirm how edge cases work in the live client before entering.
What happens inside the Labyrinth?
The Eternal Labyrinth is a trap-filled dungeon with secret passages and keys that may be behind traps. Grinding Gear Games says, “Every day, the Labyrinth has a completely new layout” on its official Labyrinth page. Treat any route as daily information rather than a permanent map: pause in unfamiliar rooms, inspect the hazard pattern, and watch trap timing before moving through.

You also face Izaro multiple times. Grinding Gear Games explains on its Ascendancy page: “You will face Izaro multiple times during the Labyrinth and the fight will evolve depending on your actions in previous encounters.” Pay attention to what happens in each encounter; the later fight is affected by earlier actions, so simply prioritizing damage can miss relevant mechanics.
How should I prepare for traps and Izaro?
- Before entering: Bring a character able to withstand trap damage and boss hits, and make sure you have the Offering required to open the Labyrinth.
- In an unfamiliar trap room: Read the room, observe the hazard cycle, and move deliberately instead of rushing through an unknown pattern.
- At each Izaro encounter: Watch the encounter mechanics and remember that earlier actions can alter later fights.
- Before leaving or logging out: Consider the attempt at risk. The community reference says these actions end a run; check the live client if you need to know how a specific interruption is handled.
Do I still need all six Eternal Lab trials?
No, not according to Grinding Gear Games’ 2021 Scourge access announcement: it removed the requirement to complete all map Trials before entering the Eternal Labyrinth. You still need one Offering to the Goddess under that announcement. Check current league notes and the entrance UI because this is a patch-sensitive rule.

What does the Offering to the Goddess do?
It opens access to the Eternal Labyrinth and is consumed for the run, according to the community-maintained Offering reference. The 2021 official access announcement says one can be obtained from any map Trial, trade, or other game rewards.
What rewards and progression does Uber Lab provide?
The official Ascendancy overview connects Labyrinth completion to Ascendancy progression. The Labyrinth also provides treasure and access to the Divine Font. The choices and available rewards can vary with game version; inspect the current Font in-game rather than relying on an old enchantment list.
