How Journeys, Contracts, and Landsraad Missions differ
Funcom’s official support guide distinguishes Journeys from Contracts, while the fan-maintained Dune: Awakening Community Wiki documents Landsraad Missions as a separate repeatable system.

Funcom frames the game’s story around a changed Arrakis: Lady Jessica has a daughter, Duke Leto Atreides survives, and the Houses continue their struggle over spice. The player begins as a prisoner sent to find the Fremen. Journeys are the story-led task system, but that premise should not be mistaken for a complete list or walkthrough of Journey steps. See Funcom’s What is Dune: Awakening? and its Journeys and Contracts support guidance.
How to track a Journey or Contract
- Open the character menu’s Journey Menu, or press J.
- Select the Journey or Contract you want to follow.
- In the Journey Menu, press T to turn tracking on or off.
You can track a maximum of one Journey and one Contract at the same time. A tracked task appears at the top left, and its destination is shown on the compass at the top of the screen. Tracking also provides next-step hints, which can help when an objective is unclear.

How to get and finish Contracts
Look for Contract Boards, mainly inside Tradeposts, to find employment opportunities. Contracts appear with a blue icon, while Journeys use pink. You can cancel a Contract, and if one becomes stuck, Funcom’s support guidance recommends abandoning it and accepting it again.
When you finish the listed steps, check whether the task shows a Contact Issuer button: some tasks require that interaction to complete. Rewards are normally delivered directly to your inventory. If your inventory is full, redeem the reward from the Journey Menu.
How Landsraad Missions work
Landsraad Missions are repeatable assignments undertaken in service of Great Houses represented on the Landsraad High Council. The Community Wiki describes them as a way for faction-aligned Guilds to compete for the weekly Landsraad vote. They are not simply another name for Journeys or Contracts.

Unlock requirement and mission rotation
The Community Wiki says the system unlocks after completing The Art of Making Friends at Faction Rank 5. Missions are grouped by specialization, with three random missions available per group at a time. Completing one replaces a mission from that same pool. You may abandon one mission per hour to cycle out an unwanted choice. Some missions are timed; if the timer expires, that mission restarts from its first objective.
Mnemonic Recollections and bonus rewards
A completed Landsraad Mission can award an extra Recollection reward if you have a Mnemonic Recollection available. The Community Wiki states that players gain five per day, up to a maximum stock of 35, and that one available Recollection is automatically consumed when a mission is completed or claimed. Without one, the mission can still be completed for its standard rewards. Listed bonus reward types include House Scrip, Faction Standing, and Specialization XP.

Funcom’s troubleshooting guidance recommends checking the task and its NPC dialogue in this order:
Rank #3
- Enhance your Dune: Imperium experience with the Deluxe Upgrade Pack! This cosmetic expansion upgrades the components of the base game for a more immersive experience; The contents come in an oversized box with plastic storage trays that store the whole game (including sleeved cards)
- This pack includes beautifully sculpted miniatures to replace the wooden pieces for your Agents, the Mentat, the Faction Alliances, and all the troops
- Add-on only; requires Dune: Imperium to play
- Upgrade your Dune: Imperium experience with the Deluxe Upgrade Pack!
- Track the task. The next-step hints may make the required objective clearer.
- Return to the relevant NPC or place. If an NPC does not offer the next dialogue option, revisit the NPC from the previous step, the original NPC, or the NPC or location for the next step.
- Reset a stuck Contract. Abandon it and pick it up again.
- Check what “Fabricate” means for the objective. Put a fabricated item in your inventory, equip fabricated gear, or assemble a fabricated vehicle, as applicable.
If the issue remains, Funcom directs players to contact support through its support page.
Scope of this quest reference
The official support guide explains how Journeys and Contracts work, but it does not provide a full, quest-by-quest walkthrough. The Community Wiki is fan-maintained; its homepage showed Update 1.5 as the current major update and referenced patch 1.5.03.0 when accessed on October 8, 2026. Individual task availability, step order, NPCs, locations, and rewards can change, so confirm those specifics in the current game or the relevant up-to-date reference page.
