What error 8-0x00003700 means
Ubisoft’s Siege connectivity guidance treats difficulty connecting to online services as a connection problem to troubleshoot, but it does not explain what error 8-0x00003700 specifically means. The available official information also does not establish a universal fix. A stuck squad screen can be described as a connection symptom, but it is not enough on its own to identify whether the cause is Ubisoft’s services, your network, your platform, or another issue.
Player reports and search results use phrases such as “stuck on creating squad” and “can’t join my friends,” but those reports do not confirm the cause, prevalence, or a working remedy. Treat code-specific fixes found in posts or videos as unverified unless Ubisoft confirms them.
Try these checks in order
- Check Ubisoft service status. If Siege services are experiencing an issue, local network changes may not resolve it. Check the status before moving on to connection troubleshooting.
- Restart Siege. Close the game fully, reopen it, and see whether it gets past “creating squad.” If you were trying to join friends, try again after the restart.
- Power-cycle your router. Restart the network hardware, then reconnect and test the game. This is a general connectivity step, not a confirmed fix for error 8-0x00003700.
- If you play on PC, test the connection path. Ubisoft recommends trying a wired connection if possible. Connect the PC to the router with Ethernet if you have the necessary cable and ports, then check whether the problem changes. This helps test the connection path; it is not a promised cure.
- On PC, check for software conflicts and network restrictions. Close or investigate software that may interfere with connectivity. If you are on a school, workplace, or otherwise managed network, ask its administrator whether restrictions could affect online play. You can also try a different network you are authorized to use.
- On PC, follow Ubisoft’s remaining connectivity checks. Keep Windows updated and run the ping test described in Ubisoft’s guide. These are general checks; neither identifies the meaning of this specific error by itself.

When to contact Ubisoft
Contact Ubisoft Support if the connection checks do not resolve the issue, or if it keeps returning. Include your platform, the exact error text, when it appears, whether Siege services appeared available, and what you tried. If the issue happens while joining friends, say so; do not assume that detail establishes the cause.
If you can reproduce the problem consistently, Ubisoft’s bug-reporting guidance recommends describing what happened, what you expected the game to do, the steps that reproduce the issue, and any workaround. Add a screenshot or video if it helps show the stuck screen or error.
