Temperance walkthrough at a glance
- Explore Temperance and use snowmobiles to travel between its main locations: Moontown, the Weather Station Observatory, and the Selene Research Facility.
- Connect Moontown’s power boxes with 11 electrical cables collected from radio towers. Search the upper floor of the largest central igloo for the Blowtorch and Advanced Biofuel Refiner blueprint.
- At the observatory, gather four constellation notes and solve the safe puzzle. The reported code is 5964; the safe holds the Selene Key, vending tokens, and Advanced Stationary Anchor blueprint.
- Bring the Blowtorch and Selene Key to the Selene entrance. Inside, work through the timed atomic-number computers, laser-and-mirror panels, control rods, and reactor valves.
- Collect the Electric Smelter blueprint and use the coordinates revealed at the end to continue to Utopia.

How to navigate Temperance
Temperance is a broad polar island surrounded by icebergs and ice caps. Its key progression locations are spread across the island, so snowmobiles are useful for traveling between them. Snowmobiles are restricted to Temperance and Arctic islands. A compass can help you relocate your raft after exploring ashore. Watch for polar bears along the way. Restore power in Moontown and get the Blowtorch
Find electrical cables at radio towers, then connect them between power boxes and the settlement buildings. The island guide specifies 11 cables for the task. Once the settlement is powered, enter the largest igloo in central Moontown and reach its upper floor to collect the Blowtorch and Advanced Biofuel Refiner blueprint. The Blowtorch is needed to access Selene, so make sure you have it before leaving Moontown.

Solve the observatory safe
Work out the code from the constellation clues
Collect the four constellation notes in the observatory. Use the telescope to find the matching constellations, then count the prominent stars for each one in the order indicated by the clues. This gives you a way to solve the combination rather than relying on a code alone.
Enter the code and claim the key
If you want the direct answer, the code reported by the walkthroughs is 5964. Enter it on the safe. Inside are the Selene Key, vending tokens, and Advanced Stationary Anchor blueprint. Enter Selene with both required items
The facility entrance requires the Blowtorch and Selene Key. Inside, radioactive miasma makes hazmat suits necessary. Suits found near the entrance are temporary, so plan each trip through hazardous areas: identify the room or objective you are pursuing, move directly to it, and avoid spending suit time on unnecessary backtracking. The route also includes Scuttlers, so stay alert while navigating and changing suits.

Enter the computer codes quickly
Three computers must be activated in a timed sequence. Their required inputs are element atomic numbers shown on posters in the rooms. Read the posters as you progress and enter the numbers promptly; the sequence is timed, so avoid detours while it is active.

Align the lasers and mirrors
Continue through the facility and solve the laser-and-mirror panels to open the route forward. Follow the room progression and collect the control rods as you encounter them, rather than leaving them behind and retracing the hazardous route later. The Steam Community guide details the facility sequence and puzzles.
Finish the reactor
Insert the control rods into the reactor, then operate the reactor valves to complete the facility. The end of this sequence reveals coordinates for Utopia and provides the Electric Smelter blueprint, as described in the Temperance guide.
