What are the RetroRealms games?
Boss Team Games announced two retro action platformers based on John Carpenter’s Halloween and Starz’s Ash vs Evil Dead television series. WayForward Technologies developed them. The announcement describes separate RetroRealms worlds that let characters from the horror properties cross over between games. Steam describes Ash vs Evil Dead as a 16-bit pixel-art action game. When did RetroRealms: Halloween and Ash vs Evil Dead release?
The August 28, 2024 announcement set October 18, 2024 as the release date for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam. There is a date difference to note: the current Xbox Double Feature listing shows November 18, 2024. That is the date displayed on that specific bundle listing, not the date in the original multi-platform announcement. See the Xbox US listing.

What comes in the Double Feature, and does an add-on need a base game?
Boss Team Games announced a physical Double Feature bundle for retail. The Xbox listing is for a digital Double Feature that includes RetroRealms Arcade plus the two game add-ons. Steam states that the Ash vs Evil Dead add-on requires the RetroRealms Arcade base game. Check the listing for the platform and edition you plan to buy, since the bundle and add-on arrangements described here are not identical.

The announcement also offered a preorder bonus for orders placed before October 18, 2024: Laurie Strode for Halloween and Kelly Maxwell for Ash vs Evil Dead. Each was described as having her own weapons, story and playstyle. The preorder deadline has passed; the available sources do not establish that a current physical copy includes either bonus character.
