Roblox DevEx lets eligible creators exchange qualifying Earned Robux for money, but your Robux balance is not automatically cashable. The standard rate depends on when the Robux were earned: eligible Robux earned on or after September 5, 2025 at 10 a.m. PT are valued at $0.0038 each, while the earlier eligible cohort is valued at $0.0035 each. A calculator can estimate gross proceeds; it cannot establish eligibility or guarantee a payout.

How much is my Robux worth in real money?

For the standard DevEx rates listed by Roblox, the gross estimate depends on the earning date of each eligible Robux—not simply the total shown in your account. Roblox’s help information, accessed October 8, 2026, lists these rates:

Eligible Robux cohort Rate Gross value per 30,000
Earned on or after September 5, 2025 at 10 a.m. PT $0.0038 per Robux $114
Earned before September 5, 2025 at 10 a.m. PT $0.0035 per Robux $105

These are gross calculations using Roblox’s published rates, not a promise that Roblox will approve a cash-out or that this is the amount you will receive after costs. Roblox may change its rates and requirements; check its Developer Exchange Terms of Use and DevEx help information before relying on an estimate.

A separate designated rate is not the standard rate

Roblox also lists a $0.0054 rate effective June 8, 2026, for a specific category of qualifying in-game spending by players over age 18 in the United States. Roblox gives $162 per 30,000 at that rate. It has additional conditions and does not apply to all Robux, all creators, or all spending; do not use it as a general DevEx conversion rate.

How much money is 30,000 Robux on DevEx?

Thirty thousand is the current minimum amount of Earned Robux in Roblox’s English DevEx Terms, but its gross value varies by applicable cohort: $114 at the $0.0038 rate, or $105 at the $0.0035 rate. A creator with Robux from more than one cohort should calculate each eligible portion separately.

The arithmetic is: eligible Robux in a rate cohort × that cohort’s rate. For example, if 20,000 eligible Robux were earned at $0.0038 and 10,000 eligible Robux at $0.0035, the gross estimate is (20,000 × $0.0038) + (10,000 × $0.0035) = $111. This example illustrates the rate calculation only; it does not determine whether those Robux or the creator qualify for cash-out.

What Robux count as Earned Robux?

Roblox treats compliant earnings from creator activity as potentially eligible, including monetization of creator-made Virtual Content or other user-generated content. Examples in the terms include Marketplace or Creator Store listings, Creator Rewards, in-game purchases, Publisher program ad revenue, and affiliate sales fees. Roblox retains sole discretion to decide whether particular Robux qualify.

Robux from these sources do not qualify as Earned Robux under the terms:

  • Robux bought directly or obtained by redeeming a gift card.
  • Monthly Premium grants.
  • Trading or reselling products the creator did not make.
  • Gamepasses in template games without legitimate visits.
  • Content moderated for violating Roblox rules.

Qualifying earnings must also comply with Roblox’s rules. A total balance can therefore include Robux that are not eligible for DevEx.

Who can use DevEx?

Roblox’s English DevEx Terms list these minimum requirements. They are current as of October 8, 2026; Roblox reserves discretion and may update them.

  • Be at least 13 years old.
  • Have at least 30,000 Earned Robux.
  • Have a Roblox-verified email address.
  • Have a valid DevEx portal account.
  • Have the applicable tax form on file: W-9 for U.S. taxpayers or W-8 for non-U.S. taxpayers.
  • Meet Roblox’s ongoing service requirements and continue to comply with its Terms and Community Standards.

Meeting the listed minimums does not guarantee approval. Roblox says, “We are not able to predetermine your eligibility for Cash Out.” It reviews eligibility after a request is submitted.

What a DevEx calculator can—and cannot—tell you

A calculator is useful for checking the gross arithmetic behind an estimate. To make a result interpretable, it should make clear which earning-date rates it uses, whether it accepts only qualifying Earned Robux, how it handles a balance with multiple cohorts, and whether it subtracts payment fees or foreign-exchange costs. Taxes should also be identified as excluded unless the calculator has a specific, justified way to account for them.

Unless those details are disclosed, treat the result as a rough gross estimate rather than a payout quote. A single conversion rate applied to the entire account balance can misstate value if the balance includes excluded Robux, multiple earning cohorts, or Robux potentially subject to the designated U.S. spending rate.

Why might the estimate differ from a payout?

The calculator’s gross figure and a final payment can differ for several independent reasons:

  • Eligibility review: Roblox decides whether the creator and submitted Robux qualify after the request. The balance alone is not an approval.
  • Excluded or noncompliant Robux: Purchased, gifted, granted, resold, or otherwise ineligible Robux may be part of the displayed balance but not part of the cashable amount.
  • Different rate cohorts: Older and newer eligible earnings have different standard rates; a designated rate has narrower conditions.
  • Payment processing and currency conversion: Roblox uses Tipalti as its third-party processor. Options depend on location, transaction fees vary by payment method, and converting to local currency may add a foreign-exchange fee. The current fee schedule is shown in the DevEx account.
  • Taxes: The gross estimate does not resolve tax reporting or obligations, which depend on the creator’s circumstances and jurisdiction.

Roblox advises that the account-owner information should match across the cash-out request, Tipalti portal, tax form, and, where applicable, bank account. Consult official tax guidance for your jurisdiction or a qualified tax professional for tax questions; this article is not tax advice.

How cash-out works

  1. Check that you meet Roblox’s current DevEx requirements and that the Robux you intend to exchange are qualifying Earned Robux.
  2. Prepare the required tax form and set up a valid DevEx portal account with consistent account-owner details.
  3. Submit a cash-out request through the DevEx process. Roblox reviews eligibility after submission and may decline a request.
  4. Review the payment methods and applicable transaction or foreign-exchange fees available for your location in the DevEx account before choosing a method.

Roblox limits cash-out requests to no more than once per month. The rate calculation and the request itself do not guarantee approval.
