It is the next announced Resident Evil game after Resident Evil Requiem in the official sources reviewed—but Capcom has not called it Resident Evil 10 or confirmed it as the next numbered mainline sequel. No exact release date has been announced.
What is the next Resident Evil game after Requiem?
The next announced game is Resident Evil Veronica. Capcom announced it on June 8, 2026, describing it as a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica, first released in 2000. That makes it accurate to call Veronica the next announced Resident Evil game after Requiem. It is not accurate to say Capcom has confirmed it as the next numbered entry: the announcement identifies it as a remake, not a numbered sequel. Capcom’s press-release index, checked October 8, 2026, lists the announcement but does not establish a newer game scheduled ahead of it. Announcements and release plans can change, so this is a statement about what is announced in the sources reviewed, not a guarantee of release order.

How it fits after Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem is already out: Capcom identifies it as the ninth main installment and lists its launch date as February 27, 2026. Veronica, by contrast, is an upcoming remake of a game originally released in 2000. The two titles are therefore not successive numbered entries in the same sense.
| Game | Status and type | Timing | Platforms announced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resident Evil Requiem | Released; ninth main installment, according to Capcom | Launched February 27, 2026 | PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC |
| Resident Evil Veronica | Announced remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica | Planned for 2027; exact date not announced | PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC |
Capcom’s Requiem announcement provides its installment designation, date, and platforms; the Veronica announcement provides the remake’s window and platforms. Neither statement names Veronica as the next mainline sequel.
