Grace’s charms work passively while they remain in her inventory; Leon’s must be attached to an eligible weapon. This guide separates campaign pickups from post-clear Special Content and edition bonuses, so its list is not an unqualified base-game pickup count. Names can differ between guides: use the item name shown in your game.
How charms work
Grace does not equip her charms to weapons: their effects apply while the charms are in her inventory. Leon’s charms are weapon attachments, and some only benefit particular weapon types or work under specific conditions. When choosing one for Leon, check the weapon eligibility and any drawback before attaching it.
The tables below distinguish story-area pickups from post-clear unlocks and Deluxe bonuses. Availability of the latter depends on progression or edition; they are not all ordinary campaign collectibles.
Grace’s charms

Leon’s attachment tradeoffs
- BSAA Emblem: use it when the sniper rifle is not scoped; the reported bonus does not apply with the scope equipped.
- S.T.A.R.S. Emblem: its automatic-weapon firepower gain comes with increased aiming sway.
- Cute Bear: favors mid-range shotgun damage at the expense of close-range potency.
- Power Shades and Trusted Companion: their reported penetration bonuses differ by weapon context; Power Shades also affects Requiem’s final cylinder round.
Grace’s choice is different: because her charms work while carried, decide which passive benefit is most useful rather than matching a charm to a weapon.

Keep an eye on progression and replay access
Some charms are in optional areas, and advancing the story can close off areas. Explore before moving past a point where the game signals that the current area is ending; the available guidance does not identify every lockout point, so do not assume every missed pickup can be collected later in the same run.
GameSpot and Vandal report that obtained or unlocked charms remain available across subsequent playthroughs through Grace’s item boxes or Leon’s supply boxes. Vandal also reports that Leon can reacquire previously obtained charms through the Supply Box/weapon-upgrade interface for zero credits. Exact replay handling may vary by game version; check the current interface if an item does not appear as expected.

Why charm totals differ
A count depends on what is included. The campaign-area pickups are distinct from charms bought or unlocked through post-clear Special Content, and those are distinct again from Deluxe Edition or Deluxe Kit bonuses. Published guides also disagree on a few charm names, particularly Stakeout Takeout/“Bittersweet Watch” and Eye Spy/“Spy Eye.” Use the name displayed in your game and treat any total as meaningful only when its scope is stated.
