Yes. Riot announced a physical League of Legends trading card game, first known as Project K and now called Riftbound: The League of Legends Trading Card Game. Riot says it is a distinct game—not a physical version of Legends of Runeterra.
What is Riftbound?
Riftbound is a physical trading card game set in the world of League of Legends, featuring its champions and settings. Riot’s original announcement described play for competitive one-on-one matches as well as 2v2 and free-for-all multiplayer. Those were the formats Riot highlighted at announcement; check the current Riftbound site for current rules and details.
Is it a physical version of Legends of Runeterra?
No. Riot explicitly said Project K was not a physical adaptation of Legends of Runeterra. Riot noted that the new game drew on some of Runeterra’s champion-design philosophy, but described Project K as its own game.
Why was it called Project K?
Project K was the working name Riot used while the game was in development. On February 24, 2025, Riot announced UVS Games as its official publishing and distribution partner. Riot’s announcement at the time outlined plans to reach many English-speaking countries in 2025, followed by expansion into additional regions in 2026; those were plans, not a guarantee of current availability in every market. Riot said then that it was still refining the final name, card design, and mechanics.

What products are available?
Riot’s Store lists physical booster displays, including Radiance and Unleashed. A booster display contains multiple packs; the listings do not establish that a display is a starter deck or provide enough information to treat it as a ready-to-play entry product.

What release dates and regions have been announced?
A roadmap summary dated February 4, 2026 reported English launches for Unleashed on May 8, Vendetta in English and Simplified Chinese on July 31, and Radiance in those languages on October 23. It also reported planned French and Traditional Chinese expansion and organized-play events in several regions. These are roadmap details reported on that date, not confirmation of current stock, completed releases, or event schedules. Check Riot’s current Riftbound pages and local event listings for updates.
