When did 2XKO enter Early Access?
Riot’s Season 0 patch notes, posted October 6, 2025, say Season 0 began on October 7, “on day one of Early Access.” The date in the headline is therefore October 7, 2025, not a forthcoming launch date.
Riot said unlocks made from Early Access onward would not be reset: players would keep champions and cosmetics they unlocked. That policy does not establish that every item or purchase is treated identically under all circumstances.
What platforms can you play 2XKO on?
Riot’s official game homepage currently lists the game as available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. This is a change from Riot’s December 2025 competitive-play post, which described the console launch as planned for January 2026; the current homepage now presents both console versions as available.

How does 2XKO’s 2v2 format work?
Riot describes 2XKO as a free-to-play 2v2 tag-team fighting game featuring champions from League of Legends and Arcane. A player can control both champions on their own, or team up with a friend, with tag and assist mechanics connecting the two fighters. Riot also lists Fuses and lobbies as game features. These are Riot’s descriptions, not independent gameplay testing.
What is 2XKO’s current development and Ranked status?
In an August 20, 2026 announcement, Riot said active development would conclude at the end of 2026. It also said servers would remain online beyond 2026 and 2XKO would remain playable on all platforms. Riot announced that all champions would be unlocked for all players, that Ranked would be removed, and that matchmaking would be streamlined within Casual lobbies.

There is a discrepancy in Riot’s current official information: the August announcement describes Ranked removal, but the game homepage still lists a Ranked ladder. The available pages do not establish whether or when the announced removal took effect, so check the live game or Riot’s latest updates if Ranked availability is important to you.

Riot’s December 5, 2025 competitive-play announcement reported that more than 1,500 community tournaments had taken place since Early Access began. That is a historical count as of the post’s publication, not a current total.
