That distinction matters if you are looking to buy or follow a release: the original GTA IV for Xbox 360 and PS3 is a real game, but it is not the rumored Definitive Edition. T3’s report does not establish a preorder, current retail availability, or a confirmed remaster.

T3 also reported that Red Dead Redemption 2 could get a Nintendo Switch 2 edition and an update for current-generation hardware. Those were reported possibilities attributed to the article’s sources, not confirmed versions announced by Rockstar. What is GTA VI’s official release date now?
The report’s 2025 framing is historical. On May 2, 2025, Rockstar moved Grand Theft Auto VI from its expected fall 2025 window to May 26, 2026, writing: “Grand Theft Auto VI is now set to release on May 26, 2026.” Rockstar’s May 2025 announcement.

Take-Two Interactive said on May 6, 2025, that the Grand Theft Auto series had sold more than 440 million units worldwide. That is a series-wide sell-in figure, not a sales forecast or result for GTA VI. Take-Two’s announcement.
The cited material does not establish whether Rockstar later confirmed or released the specific GTA IV or RDR2 editions described by T3. Treat those claims as unconfirmed unless Rockstar announces them directly.
