GTA V already has current-generation editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, released March 15, 2022; Rockstar’s published material does not announce a new remaster. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, Performance RT targets 60 FPS with ray tracing at upscaled 4K—not native 4K. For native 4K with ray tracing, choose Fidelity, which targets 30 FPS.

The headline phrase “4K60 with ray tracing” describes one mode’s targets on two consoles, rather than a universal specification for every Xbox model or a promise of native 4K at 60 FPS. Rockstar’s March 4, 2022 announcement says Performance RT supports upscaled 4K with ray tracing enabled and targets 60 FPS.
Which GTA V graphics modes are available?
Rockstar publishes three graphics modes. The resolution and frame-rate figures below are Rockstar’s stated mode specifications and targets, not independent performance measurements.

Rockstar’s store uses broad “up to” language for resolution and frame rate; its mode-by-mode announcement gives the more specific breakdown.
Fidelity: native 4K and ray tracing
Choose Fidelity on PS5 or Xbox Series X if native 4K and ray tracing matter more than the higher frame-rate target. Rockstar lists this mode at 30 FPS. It is the option for the native-4K-plus-ray-tracing combination; it does not target 60 FPS.

Performance: a 60 FPS target without the listed ray tracing
Performance prioritizes responsiveness and targets 60 FPS. Rockstar specifies upscaled 4K on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and 1080p on Xbox Series S. Its mode description does not list ray tracing for Performance.
Performance RT: ray tracing with a 60 FPS target
Performance RT is the hybrid option for PS5 and Xbox Series X: it targets 60 FPS, includes ray tracing, and uses upscaled 4K. Do not describe its resolution as native 4K. Rockstar does not list Performance RT for Xbox Series S.

What is different on Xbox Series S?
Series S does not share the Series X resolution and mode list in Rockstar’s published breakdown. Performance is specified at 1080p with a 60 FPS target; Rockstar does not list a Series S Performance RT option or provide a Series S Fidelity resolution and frame-rate specification in that breakdown. The Series X figures therefore should not be applied to Series S.
What later updates say about ray tracing
Rockstar’s post-launch support notes document technical changes involving ray tracing, including ray-traced reflections in Fidelity Mode and later ray-tracing performance or stability fixes. These records show that the game received subsequent support and adjustments; they do not announce a new remaster. See the official Title Update 1.64 notes, Title Update 1.70 notes, and Title Update 1.73 notes.
