Rumbleverse shut down on February 28, 2023, and players could no longer play or access purchased in-game content afterward. Contemporary coverage of the shutdown announcement reported that players who had spent money on the game were eligible for refunds. The available information does not establish whether refunds were automatic, how long they took, or what steps applied to each platform.
When did Rumbleverse shut down?
Xbox Wire said Rumbleverse’s live services would end on February 28, 2023, at 10 a.m. CST, when Season Two concluded. After that point, the game would no longer be playable, and purchased in-game content would no longer be accessible. Xbox Wire’s September 2022 update set out that schedule and the loss of access.
Rumbleverse had been a free-to-play online brawler royale. Xbox Wire announced its Xbox release on August 11, 2022. Xbox Wire’s launch announcement described it as free to play.
Could players get a refund for Rumbleverse purchases?
Yes, according to contemporary reporting: Game Developer reported on February 1, 2023, that players who had spent money on Rumbleverse would be eligible for refunds. That establishes announced eligibility, not whether a particular player received a refund or qualified under a specific platform’s rules.

How do I get a Rumbleverse refund?
The exact Rumbleverse shutdown refund instructions are not established here. Xbox Wire directed players to Rumbleverse.com for information, including refunds, but the original shutdown FAQ’s platform-by-platform steps were not recovered. As a result, it is not possible to confirm whether refunds were automatic, how to request one, or how long processing took.
Refund rules can depend on where the purchase was made. Epic’s current Epic Games Store refund policy says purchases made through other stores, including console stores, are covered by the refund policy of the point of purchase. That general policy does not confirm the historic Rumbleverse shutdown procedure. If you are pursuing a question about a past transaction, identify the store or platform that handled payment and consult its current support channel; do not assume Epic’s store policy applies to a console-store purchase.
