Yes—but only as a reported internal target, not an official Ubisoft release date. The remake was reported to be planned for around November 2025 before a change to Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed release pipeline. Ubisoft has since confirmed the project as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, released July 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

When did the remake actually come out?
Ubisoft’s official release guide, published April 23, 2026, set the launch for July 9, 2026. Ubisoft’s current game page marks Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced as available now. The official date supersedes the earlier reported target. Ubisoft’s release guide and current game page list PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC as platforms.
What is Black Flag Resynced?
Ubisoft describes Resynced as a remake of 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, rebuilt from the ground up on the latest version of the Anvil Engine. The publisher also describes technical and gameplay updates, including ray tracing, dynamic weather, added story arcs and missions, flexible stealth, revised combat, and new shanties. These are Ubisoft’s feature descriptions, not independent performance or gameplay test results. Ubisoft identifies Ubisoft Singapore as the lead studio in its release guide.
