Warner Bros. Games announced Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice as fighters for MultiVersus Season 2, “Back in Time,” on July 20, 2024. Samurai Jack was planned for the season’s July 23 launch; Beetlejuice arrived later, on September 20, 2024. The announcement is historical: MultiVersus’ final season ended in 2025, and the game is no longer playable online or available to download from digital storefronts.
What the Season 2 announcement included
The July 2024 announcement named Samurai Jack, from the Cartoon Network and Adult Swim animated series, as a Season 2 launch fighter. Warner Bros. Games described him as a Bruiser whose fighting style uses his katana, footwork, and reflexes. The Righteous Warrior Jack variant was also announced for in-game purchase on July 23, 2024. Offline play depends on an earlier setup
The official FAQ required players to install or download the latest version and log in during Season 5, before its May 30, 2025 end, to create a local save for offline access. That deadline has passed; this is not a setup players can newly complete now.
For players who completed the setup, offline play includes local matches against AI or with up to three other players, plus The Lab training mode. All characters are unlocked offline. The setup had to be completed separately on each supported platform a player wanted to use. Warner Bros. Games Support: Season 5 FAQ
