When did STALKER 2 Patch 1.5 come out?
GSC Game World announced that Patch 1.5 was live on June 25, 2025, at 15:14. The developer’s official announcement names the update Guns & Looting.

What did the Guns & Looting update add?
A-Life simulation beyond the player’s view
GSC said the patch simulates characters even when they are outside the player’s view. They continue pursuing goals and may be encountered again, and the update addressed characters respawning directly in front of the player. These are features described by the developer, not independently measured outcomes.
A new anomaly and two weapons
- Water Electric Tornado: a new anomaly in the Zone.
- Three-Line Rifle: a new rifle.
- Kora: a new handgun.
Looting mutant parts
Patch 1.5 added the ability to loot parts from mutants, expanding what players can collect after an encounter.

Inventory and equipment improvements
The update brought larger player stash storage, weapon reload renewal, and other inventory improvements. It also added an unlockable “Fix all” option for technicians.
Official mod support
GSC introduced the Zone Kit and official access to modifications through Steam Workshop and Mod.io. The developer cautioned that patches can affect modifications and recommended disabling them if performance or stability problems occur. That warning is conditional; it does not mean every mod stopped working.

What happened in the later 1.5.x patches?
Patch 1.5 was followed by maintenance releases that addressed issues rather than replacing its feature-update role.

GSC’s notices for the follow-ups are available for Patch 1.5.1, Patch 1.5.2, and Patch 1.5.3. The official news index lists later updates as well, so Patch 1.5 is best understood as a retrospective feature release.
