Gorn Hunter hostiles in Star Trek Fleet Command are listed in systems across three level bands: 40–50, 51–60, and 60–70. Scopely says Operations 40 and above can challenge them, but defeating a Gorn Hunter requires Isolytic Damage—not conventional damage.

The ranges above reproduce Scopely’s labels: level 60 is included at the upper end of the second band and the lower end of the third. The location article says Gorn encounters are available to players at Operations 40 and above. Check the system map and your current warp access in-game before setting a route. What you need to defeat Gorn Hunters
Deal Isolytic Damage
Gorn Hunters can only be defeated with Isolytic Damage; ordinary damage does not work against them, according to Scopely’s location guide. Before engaging, make sure your ship or crew can apply Isolytic Damage. Scopely’s Isolytic loop help article covers Isolytic Damage, Volatile Isomatter, and the G4–G6 Gorn Space context.

Prepare for incoming Isolytic Damage
Gorn ships also use Isolytic weapons. Scopely therefore advises players not to neglect Isolytic defense while preparing their offense. A ship that can damage the Hunters but cannot withstand their attacks may still struggle to complete the encounter.
Use examples as starting points, not a complete build
In its April 2024 guide, Scopely named Enterprise-E Picard, Enterprise-E Data, and Kathryn Janeway as officers that affect Isolytic Damage against hostiles. It also pointed to relevant research, a Fleet Commander ability, and artifacts. These are examples from that guide, not a guarantee that they form the best or complete build for every account or the current game version.

Is the Gorn Eviscerator required?
No. Scopely describes the Gorn Eviscerator as an Operations 40+ ship with abilities intended for Gorn Hunter combat. Its “Hunt the Hunters” ability increases Isolytic Damage against Gorn Hunters, making it a purpose-built option, but the location guidance states the functional requirement: bring a ship or crew capable of Isolytic Damage. Check access to Pteros and the last listed system
There is a spelling and access caveat for the final system in the highest band. Scopely’s April 2024 location list spells it “Rioha,” while a later Update 83 patch note uses “Rioah” when describing a planned Gorn Eviscerator warp-access adjustment for Pteros and Rioah. The note says the change is in the next update; it does not establish here whether it shipped or state the exact current warp requirements. What Gorn Hunter rewards can include
Scopely’s location guide names resources, temporal artifact shards, and officer shards from Voyager and Enterprise-E synergy groups as possible rewards. Update 65 also refers to artifacts, officers, faction credits, and more.
