What is the Second Sentinel?
The Second Sentinel is a cogwork NPC and boss associated with the Citadel in Hollow Knight: Silksong. It is not a separate game: the name refers to this character and its related encounter. The character entry describes its role and activation.

How to activate the Second Sentinel
Hornet must assemble the Cogheart from three Cogheart Pieces, then place it in the Sentinel’s body in Cogwork Core. The Cogheart is the item that reactivates the machine, as detailed in the Cogheart entry.
- Find three Cogheart Pieces.
- Assemble them into the Cogheart.
- Go to Cogwork Core and place the Cogheart in the Second Sentinel’s body.
How to start Final Audience and find the boss
The Final Audience wish sends Hornet to High Halls to confront the Second Sentinel. According to the Final Audience quest entry, its availability depends on progressing through several related objectives:

- Learn Conductor’s Melody.
- Complete at least two Songclave wishes, including Building Up Songclave.
Once the wish is available, pursue it to High Halls and defeat the Sentinel there to complete it.
What does the Second Sentinel reward?
Completing the Final Audience encounter rewards Reserve Bind.

The Steam Community Announcements feed for Hollow Knight: Silksong records a fix for a rare case in which the Second Sentinel could knock the player out of bounds during battle. The announcement material cited here does not establish the relevant build number or whether it was the latest encounter-related change, so it should not be treated as a statement about the current patch status.
