What does the second GTA 6 trailer reveal about the story?
Released on May 6, 2025, Trailer 2 makes the protagonists’ names and the core predicament explicit. Rockstar’s official synopsis says Jason and Lucia “have always known the deck is stacked against them.” When an easy score goes wrong, they end up caught in a criminal conspiracy “stretching across the state of Leonida” and are forced to rely on each other if they want to make it out alive. Rockstar’s Trailer 2 page is the clearest source for what the trailer confirms about the premise.

That description points to a partnership under pressure: a failed job leads to a larger criminal entanglement, and getting through it depends on the two leads working together. Rockstar does not identify the conspiracy’s participants or explain exactly how the score fails.

Who are Jason and Lucia in GTA 6?
Rockstar identifies Jason and Lucia as the central pair in the story synopsis. It presents them as people accustomed to being at a disadvantage, whose fortunes become tied together when a job goes wrong. Their relationship is important to the setup because the synopsis explicitly says they must rely on one another.
The official description does not provide a full account of either character’s history, motives or relationship, nor does it assign a specific role to every image or line of dialogue in the trailer. Interpretations of those details may be plausible, but they are not confirmed by the synopsis.

Is GTA 6 Trailer 2 gameplay or cutscenes?
Rockstar describes Trailer 2 as a balance of gameplay and cutscenes, with footage captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5. Take-Two’s May 6, 2025 announcement also says the trailer footage was captured on PS5. That identifies the source platform and presentation mix; it does not guarantee that the finished retail game will perform identically or look exactly the same on every platform.

Rockstar’s official GTA VI page, checked October 8, 2026, lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and displays a coming date of November 19, 2026. Release dates can change, so check Rockstar’s page for the latest listing. The earlier May 26, 2026 target appeared in Take-Two’s May 6, 2025 announcement and is historical, not the date currently shown by Rockstar.
The platforms confirmed on that current page are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; it does not establish a PC version.
