PowerPyx groups 12 Scadutree Fragments under Scadu Altus, while Gamer Guides calls its narrower Scadu Altus checklist complete at 11. The difference comes from regional boundaries: nearby Scaduview, river and Darklight Catacombs locations appear in PowerPyx’s broader grouping. This guide follows PowerPyx’s 12-entry scope and identifies the extra locations, rather than treating the two guides’ counts as interchangeable.
Why Scadu Altus has two reported counts
Neither guide establishes an official boundary for assigning these nearby pickups to Scadu Altus. Gamer Guides reports 11 fragments in its region route; PowerPyx numbers 12 entries in its broader grouping, including pickups around Scaduview Cross, Recluses’ River Upstream and Darklight Catacombs. The counts also include grouped rewards: the Church of the Crusade contains two fragments, and the Golden Hippopotamuses provide two.
The checklist below follows PowerPyx’s grouping. Its 12 entries are global guide numbers 16–27, not a claim that the game labels these places as an official region. Gamer Guides’ narrower route and its route-specific details are noted where they differ. See PowerPyx’s full Scadutree Fragment location guide and Gamer Guides’ Scadu Altus checklist.

Two Golden Hippopotamuses near Darklight Catacombs
Defeat the Golden Hippopotamuses near Darklight Catacombs for two fragments. The paired reward counts as two, not one.
The hidden waterfall-coffin route in Gamer Guides’ checklist
Gamer Guides’ 11-item route includes a multi-stage path from Shadow Keep to a fragment in a coffin at the base of a waterfall. It also describes the Moorth southeast enemy and downstream hippos differently from PowerPyx’s broader grouping. Treat these as guide-specific routes and boundaries, not extra entries to add to the 12 above without checking the locations in-game.
- Start at Storehouse, First Floor in Shadow Keep and take the elevator down.
- Go outside and descend the two ladders on the left.
- Strike the wall to reveal the hidden route, then use the coffin.
- Continue downstream. Near Dryleaf Seal, use the ledges to reach the water and find the fragment in a coffin at the waterfall’s base.
- For Gamer Guides’ downstream stop, head south from Castle Watering Hole to Recluses’ River Downstream. Descend by the gravestones and defeat the Golden Hippopotamuses; the pickup awards two fragments.
Gamer Guides also places a Pot Shade at the cliff edge southeast of Moorth Ruins; defeat it for the fragment on that route. Its page describes 11 items overall, including the church’s two-fragment pickup and the downstream hippo pair. Because the guides differ in which nearby river and enemy locations they group with Scadu Altus, do not add the narrower route’s count to PowerPyx’s count.
What Scadutree Fragments do
Redeem Scadutree Fragments at a Site of Grace to receive Scadutree Blessings, which strengthen progression in the Realm of Shadow. PowerPyx says the blessing reduces incoming damage; Gamer Guides describes it as increasing damage dealt as well as reducing damage taken. These are distinct from Revered Spirit Ash Blessings, which PowerPyx says improve summoned spirits and the spectral steed.
