Where the choice happens
During the main quest Message from Afar, you investigate Strangleroot in Dawnshore and reach an Adra Pillar. After speaking with Ambassador Falseen Hylgard and examining the pillar, you can hear the Voice’s offer: it will heal the grove in return for your help.
What happens if you accept
The Voice heals Strangleroot and grants you Dream Touch, an active power that heals and revives nearby allies. It also deals damage over time to Delemgan, Dreamthralls, and Vessels. Choose this if you value an extra group-support ability, particularly when you expect to rely on companions.
What happens if you refuse
Refusing grants Godlike’s Will, which gives you an ability point to spend in the Fighter, Ranger, or Wizard trees. Strangleroot remains sickened, but a path opens and the quest continues.

Which reward suits your character?
| Choice | Reward and consequence | Best fit |

| Accept | Dream Touch; Strangleroot is healed. | Players who want healing, revival, and damage against the specified enemy types. |
| Refuse | Godlike’s Will ability point; Strangleroot remains sickened. | Players who prefer to choose their own skill-tree upgrade or whose character would reject the bargain. |
Neither option is established as universally better: the decision is between a specific party-support power and flexibility in skill investment, with a role-playing consequence. The Voice appears again later, so this choice does not settle every decision involving it.
