In practical terms, “mods” is the familiar search term; Creations is the term to look for in the game. Browse the in-game Creations menu rather than assuming a PC or Xbox recommendation is also available on PS5. Console support for the system does not establish that any particular item is available on every platform.
How to choose the best Skyrim Creations for your PS5 playthrough
Because the official store pages do not rank individual PS5 Creations or expose a complete live catalog, there is no substantiated universal top-five list to give. Instead, compare the current listings against what you want to change and what your game includes.

- Open Skyrim’s Creations menu. The PlayStation Store’s Creation Credits listing directs players to browse content in the game’s Creations menu. PlayStation Store: Creation Credits
- Pick a goal first. Look for a quest or story addition, a change to environments or characters, new dialogue, armor or weapons, or another gameplay change. Use the listing’s description to decide whether the scope suits the kind of playthrough you want.
- Read the exact listing. Check its stated requirements and compatibility against your edition and add-ons. A title or broad category alone does not establish what it requires or whether it fits your setup.
- Check whether it is free or paid. Creation Credits are in-game currency for purchasing content, but purchasing credits is optional; the existence of the Creations feature does not mean every Creation requires payment. Confirm the price shown in the current in-game listing.
- Confirm it is available on your PS5. Search the PS5 catalog for the exact Creation title and review its current description before choosing it. Availability and catalog details can change.
Special Edition, Anniversary Edition, and included content
The US PlayStation Store lists Skyrim Special Edition for PS4 and PS5 and describes it as supporting Bethesda Game Studios Creations. Its Anniversary Edition listing says the package includes Skyrim Special Edition, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn, and Creation Club content released on or before November 11, 2021. That cutoff is important: inclusion of Creation Club content released by that date is not evidence that Anniversary Edition includes every item currently shown in the Creations menu. The Creation Credits listing describes content as compatible with the main game and official add-ons, including the Anniversary Edition upgrade; still check the specific item’s requirements and your edition in the live listing.

Do Skyrim Creations on PS5 cost money?
Not necessarily. The PlayStation Store lists Creation Credits as optional in-game purchases used to buy content through the Creations menu. A specific Creation may be free or require credits, so check its current price in-game. Credit packages, regional availability, and catalog offerings can change; the cited store pages are US listings, not a promise of the same availability or prices in every region.
