All six Pollip Hearts for Greyroot’s Rite of the Pollip are in Shellwood. Find the large purple Pollip buds and strike each one to release a heart, then return the six hearts to Greyroot to receive the Pollip Pouch. The quest listing says there are no prerequisites; defeating Sister Splinter first is a convenience, not a requirement.
What the Pollip Heart quest requires
Greyroot gives the Rite of the Pollip Wish in Shellwood. It is a Gather Wish requiring six Pollip Hearts, collected from purple flower buds. Deliver all six to Greyroot to complete the quest and earn the Pollip Pouch. Quest details and reward are listed by Gamepressure.
Should you defeat Sister Splinter first?
GameSpot recommends defeating Shellwood boss Sister Splinter before collecting the upper-ledge hearts: the newly opened route grants Cling Grip, which makes some climbs easier. This is a route convenience, not a quest prerequisite; the quest listing specifies none. You can collect accessible hearts first and return for higher or tucked-away locations later. The coordinates below are Pharloom X/Y markers from Gamer Guides’ interactive item database. They are map coordinates, not room names or a suggested route order. Use them to match markers on that map, then follow the access clue to locate the flower.

These coordinates and access notes come from Gamer Guides’ item database. The database does not establish a left-to-right collection order, so use its markers rather than treating the numbered rows as a route.
Room landmarks for navigating without coordinates
GameSpot’s walkthrough adds several landmarks that can help orient you in Shellwood: one Pollip is near the vertical shaft and the path to Greyroot’s hut; another is reached from the bench on the right by taking the lower-right exit toward the large cavern leading to Bellhart, then climbing with Cling Grip; another sits in a vine-covered nook in the large shrine cavern near the Cling Grip ability. Match these descriptions against the room layout and map rather than assuming they correspond to coordinate rows in the same order.

How to avoid missing the last heart
- After breaking a Pollip bud, check your inventory count before leaving the area.
- If you are short of six, revisit routes involving breakable vines or other breakables, and check rooms approached from above.
- For the hard-to-reach location, look for the upper re-entry and bouncing route through white flowers; searching only at ground level will not reach its small room.
- Once the count reaches six, return to Greyroot in Shellwood and turn in the hearts.
