Use attacks that exploit the head your party can hit most effectively, avoid ice because a June 2024 Siliconera guide reports that all four parts drain it, and keep defeating the heads until they remain down. Taking out heads damages Tiamat; once they stay down, focus on the main body.
What are Tiamat’s weaknesses?
Siliconera’s June 14, 2024 guide reports these affinities for the four targets:
| Target | Guide-reported affinity | Practical choice |
|---|---|---|
| Tiamat | Resists all elements except ice, which it drains | Prioritize the heads rather than spending elemental attacks on the body. |
| Dragon Head | Weak to light and dark; drains ice | Use light or dark if available. |
| Goat Head | Weak to physical; drains ice | Use physical attacks. |
| Camel Head | Weak to fire, electric, and wind; drains ice | Use fire, electric, or wind. |
These are the guide’s reported affinities, not an official ATLUS stat listing. The practical warning is straightforward: avoid ice attacks against every part.
Which target should you attack first?
There is no established universal target order. Choose the head your current party can hit efficiently, then concentrate damage there rather than spreading attacks across all three. For example, a party with effective physical skills can begin with Goat Head; a party better equipped with light or dark can start with Dragon Head.

Siliconera’s guide recommends repeatedly defeating the heads: each takedown damages Tiamat, but the heads must eventually stay down before you turn your attention to the main body. Follow that pattern—take down a vulnerable head, repeat as needed, and attack Tiamat once the heads remain defeated.
How to use your turns efficiently
ATLUS explains that exploiting enemy weaknesses grants extra Press Turn actions. Match your attacks to the target’s reported weakness to create more opportunities to act, and avoid wasting actions on ice attacks that the guide says are drained.

- Pick a head your party can exploit. Use physical against Goat Head, light or dark against Dragon Head, and fire, electric, or wind against Camel Head.
- Focus your attacks. Concentrating damage can take a head out and damage Tiamat, rather than leaving several heads standing.
- Repeat until the heads stay down. The guide’s strategy is to keep defeating them before committing to the main body.
- Finish by attacking Tiamat. Once the heads no longer return, direct your attacks at the body.
ATLUS also describes Magatsuhi Skills as tools that can deal heavy damage, heal, or buff, and Essence Fusion as a way to change the Nahobino’s affinities and skills. Use those systems to support the party’s damage plan or address a troublesome affinity, but ATLUS does not publish Tiamat-specific damage thresholds or a move rotation in its system explanation.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Do you need to level up or change your party?
Siliconera writer Cody Perez suggested having Nahobino around level 90. Treat that as one guide author’s readiness benchmark, not a required level or an official minimum. Perez also suggests gauging readiness by whether your party can consistently take out one head—or even two—in a turn. If you cannot remove a head reliably, improving damage output or adjusting skills may be more useful than following a fixed level number.
