Serenity Forge, the publisher, listed October 24, 2024, as the release date for The Pristine Cut in its official press kit and FAQ. Black Tabby Games’ press kit had previously described the edition as planned for Fall 2024, before the publisher specified the October date.
This was not the original game’s launch date: Black Tabby Games lists the original Slay the Princess as released on October 23, 2023, and The Pristine Cut as its later expanded/definitive edition. The developer’s press kit identifies the game as a fully voiced horror tragicomedy.
What platforms is The Pristine Cut on?
Serenity Forge’s release materials listed Steam, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox, and its FAQ said the digital version would be available on PC and consoles on October 24, 2024. Black Tabby Games’ platform list specifies PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox for The Pristine Cut. Its platform list for the original game is PC, Mac, and Linux.

Yes. Serenity Forge’s press kit listed a physical edition at USD 44.99, while its FAQ covered the digital release. Those are prices in the publisher’s launch-era materials, not confirmation of today’s price or stock. Check the retailer or platform store for current availability.

Black Tabby Games’ official Steam announcement archive also records plans for physical editions and an art book for August 15, 2025. Later posts mentioned limited quantities of the physical book through Fangamer and Fangamer.eu, and a digital art book release on October 20, 2025. These announcements do not establish whether either format is currently available.
