An official Sonic the Hedgehog 3 clip shows Shadow meeting Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles before their encounter turns into a fight. The official Sonic the Hedgehog account posted the clip on December 10, 2024, ahead of the film’s December 20 theatrical release.
What happens in the clip?
The short scene brings Shadow face to face with Sonic and his friends, then moves quickly into a clash with Team Sonic. The official account introduced it with the caption: “He’s IMPRESSIVE. Team Sonic takes on Shadow in this exclusive clip from #SonicMovie3.”

The Outerhaven described the fight as “spoilerish,” while noting that it had already appeared in earlier trailers and reveals little about what happens later in the movie. That is the outlet’s characterization, not an official spoiler designation.
Who is Shadow in the film?
Paramount’s synopsis describes Shadow as a formidable foe for Sonic and his friends. The studio lists Keanu Reeves as Shadow’s voice actor. The clip establishes a confrontation, but it does not explain the full cause of the conflict or show how it ends.
