On Light difficulty, the final row is Snake | empty | Gravestone | empty | Man; then put any one of the three coins in the top slot. The 2001 original has a different puzzle, the Old Coin Desk in Blue Creek Apartments, Room 105, so use the section for your game version.
Find the right puzzle for your game
The remake’s Coin Cabinet is in Wood Side Apartments; the original game’s Old Coin Desk is in Blue Creek Apartments, Room 105. They use different coins and solutions. This guide’s remake steps are based on an unofficial fan guide, not a Konami walkthrough.

2024 remake: collect the three coins
Before using the cabinet, collect all three coins:
- Man: in the safe in Apartment 206.
- Woman: in the inner courtyard, after putting Canned Juice into the clogged garbage chute on the third floor.
- Snake: in the baby stroller in the apartment pool, which you reach through Apartment 116.
The cabinet is in the back office on the first floor. Its five slots are read left to right; the symbols above them are moon, tree, and sun. The coins have two faces each: Man/Sword, Woman/Gravestone, and Snake/Flower. Rotate a coin to display the face required by the arrangement.
Remake solution by difficulty
Each row below shows the coins from left to right across the five slots. “Empty” means leave that slot vacant. Intermediate rows show the arrangement after each stanza; the final row is the one to enter before making the top-slot choice.

Begin with Man under the moon, Woman under the tree, and Flower under the sun. The second stanza turns Man to Sword and Flower to Snake. For the third, swap Snake and Sword, turn Sword back to Man, and turn Woman to Gravestone.

The second stanza moves Man to the right and turns it to Sword; Woman also moves right toward Flower. The next stanza turns Flower to Snake and Woman to Gravestone, with Man beside the grave.

The opening arrangement puts Man far from Sun and Snake, and Gravestone away from Man. The next stanza has Man’s blade strike Flower and changes Man to Gravestone. In the following stanza, Man and Woman are beneath the tree while Snake is beneath the sun.
Complete the cabinet
Once the final row for your difficulty is set, place any one of the Man, Woman, or Snake coins in the top slot to complete the puzzle.

Original 2001 game: Old Coin Desk
If you are playing the original game, go to Blue Creek Apartments, Room 105. Its riddle-level solutions use Old Man, Snake, and Prisoner coins, not the remake’s Man, Woman, and Snake faces. Rows are left to right across the five slots; leave the indicated slots empty.

Does the remake’s final coin choice change the ending?
The final stanza frames the choice as a judgment about which figure carries blame, and the guide says placing a coin in the top slot affects the ending. It does not establish which specific coin corresponds to which ending, or that this choice alone determines an ending; a more precise mapping would go beyond the available evidence.
