Slitterhead, the debut game from Bokeh Game Studio led by Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama, released on November 8, 2024. It is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store; the physical edition is exclusive to PS5.
What is Slitterhead?
Slitterhead is a single-player action-adventure set in Kowlong, a densely populated, neon-lit city. You play as Hyoki, a bodiless entity with no memories, hunting Slitterheads: monsters that feed on brains and disguise themselves as humans.

Hyoki can possess people and switch between hosts to travel, infiltrate locations, and fight. Some hosts, called Rarities, have a stronger connection to Hyoki and provide distinctive abilities. The game is Bokeh Game Studio’s debut; Toyama, who leads the studio, is known for his earlier work on Silent Hill. The official descriptions do not identify Slitterhead as a Silent Hill sequel.
When did Slitterhead release?
Slitterhead launched November 8, 2024. The November 8 date in the original announcement is a past release date, not an upcoming launch.

Which platforms have Slitterhead?

The developer’s platform list names PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games. If you specifically want a disc, the confirmed option is the PS5 physical edition. Check current regional stock and price with the retailer before buying.
What should players expect?
The premise centers on taking over human hosts to pursue monsters concealed among ordinary people, giving possession a role in both movement and combat. PlayStation’s listing also documents adjustable difficulty, a practice mode, adjustable game speed, and pausing during offline play.

Reception is not uniform. In a review updated November 16, 2024, Meristation described the game as having original ideas while criticizing technical shortcomings and design decisions; that is one reviewer’s assessment, not a universal consensus. Steam displayed 78% positive from 1,148 user reviews when accessed October 8, 2026. That is a changing Steam user-review aggregate, not a critic score.

Bokeh’s release announcement listed US launch prices of $49.99 for the Standard edition and $59.99 for the Day 1 Edition, and also showed a $59.00 Digital Deluxe figure. These are launch-announcement prices, not current prices. Xbox Wire’s September 26, 2024 pre-release article described the digital Deluxe Edition as including a Toyama-commented artbook and a soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka, along with three days of early access beginning November 5, 2024. Those details describe the historical launch offer, not a current promotion.
