A Reddit user claimed to have a copy of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on November 29, 2025, five days before its announced release. That is evidence of one community member making an early-copy claim—not proof that copies were circulating widely or that related footage was authentic. The game launched on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2025, so this is a look back at a pre-launch report, not current launch news.
What was reported before launch?
On November 29, 2025, a user posted to r/NintendoSwitch with the title “Got a copy of Metroid Prime 4 early”. The post documents an individual claim. On its own, it does not independently verify the user’s copy, establish how many copies may have been available, or authenticate the scope of any footage connected to it.
No reliable figure for early-copy circulation is established by the cited sources. The post should therefore be read as anecdotal, not as confirmation of widespread early sales or a broad leak.
When did Metroid Prime 4: Beyond officially launch?
Nintendo announced that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond would release on December 4, 2025, for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo’s May 8, 2026 release schedule lists that same date. As of October 8, 2026, the game has already launched.
