Prices reported for that promotion have expired; as of October 8, 2026, the available sources do not confirm this year’s Black Friday Nintendo Switch game lineup or prices.
What the headline refers to
A November 24, 2025 report said select Nintendo Switch games were available for as little as $29.99, with savings of up to $30 on some titles. That was a time-limited holiday promotion, not a standing price. The matching 2025 report is historical and does not establish current availability.

What Nintendo offered for Black Friday 2024
Nintendo of America’s announcement tied its 2024 prices to select retailers and a specific holiday period. The listed retailers were Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart; the announcement cautioned that actual savings could vary. These are past U.S. offers, not prices to expect or assume for 2026.
| Game and edition | 2024 offer price |
|---|---|
| The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom | $49.99 |
| Super Mario Maker 2 | $39.99 |
| Animal Crossing: New Horizons | $39.99 |
| Pikmin 4 | $39.99 |
| Nintendo Switch Sports, physical edition | $39.99 |
| Kirby and the Forgotten Land | $39.99 |
| Super Mario Odyssey | $29.99 |
| Pikmin 1 + 2 | $29.99 |
Nintendo’s announcement gives the offer prices but does not provide a regular price for each title in the cited list, so a precise per-game savings figure should not be inferred from those prices alone. See Nintendo of America’s 2024 Black Friday announcement for the original offer details.

How the reported 2025 offers differed
Nintendo Life reported that select first-party Switch games would be priced at $29.99 or $39.99 at participating U.S. retailers beginning November 23, 2025. It separately reported a Nintendo eShop Cyber Deals period running November 20 through December 3, 2025. The physical-retailer promotion and digital sale were distinct offers; neither date range or price establishes a current deal. The report is available at Nintendo Life.
Is there a confirmed Nintendo Switch Black Friday sale for 2026?
The evidence available as of October 8, 2026 does not confirm a 2026 Black Friday lineup for Nintendo Switch games. Nintendo’s Sales & Deals page lists offers and directs visitors to check featured deals, but it does not establish a Black Friday game promotion. Likewise, GamesRadar+’s early Black Friday 2026 deals page includes Switch 2-related offers; those listings do not prove a general discount event for the broader Nintendo Switch catalog.

How to compare any newly announced deals
When a current offer is posted, check the details for the exact product rather than relying on a headline savings figure. A useful comparison records:
- Game title and edition
- Physical cartridge or digital download
- Reference price and sale price, with the stated savings
- Retailer, region, and offer dates
- Any stock or availability limits
Retailer participation in a past promotion does not guarantee participation in a later one. Confirm the live listing and terms before buying, and do not treat a digital eShop discount as the same offer as a physical game price.
