Looking for the Stagfather shrines? There are nine across Avalon: three each in Horns of the South, Cuanacht, and Forlorn Swords. If you mean the Stagfather character in The Breach, that is a separate quest; this guide covers the shrines and their trial.
Where to find the Stagfather shrines
The shrine overview and location guides identify nine shrines in total, distributed across three regions. The directions that are available for individual locations are partial, so use them as landmarks rather than exact routes.

GAMERPILLAR’s nine-location guide includes images, though its text does not provide route descriptions. Avoid relying on guessed coordinates or paths when the game map or images are available.
How to use the map to navigate
The game’s overworld map becomes available after the opening chapter and reveals locations you have discovered. Pair it with a digital location guide: use landmarks such as waypoints or settlements to orient yourself, then check the map as you explore. How the shrine trial works
- Find and activate a Stagfather Shrine. The first activation of any of the nine starts the quest Stagfather’s Shrine Trial; the quest can begin at any shrine. Quest details
- Defeat the three Wyrddeer that appear. The shrine overview says to defeat them before they despawn.
- Return to the shrine and interact with it again to complete the trial.
The trial is described as repeatable, but sources differ on what repeat clears award. Confirm rewards in your current game version rather than treating a fixed farming table as settled.
What rewards are documented?
Reward information is inconsistent across guides. The quest page lists 100 XP and four recipes: The Stag’s Defiance, Wyrdbone Arrow, The Stag’s Woe, and Wyrddeer Stew. A guide updated June 22, 2026 says the first clear gives three recipes and later clears provide Wyrd crafting materials. These accounts do not establish a single definitive reward list for every version or repeat clear, so check the quest and inventory in-game.

If you meant the Stagfather in The Breach
A community post using the query “Where to find stagfather” clarifies that the player meant the character in The Breach, not the shrine locations. That is a separate quest question; the shrine trial instructions above do not locate the character. Community discussion
