Four Corners Farm trades some uninterrupted crop space for a map divided into four useful zones: forest-style hardwood, a standard-style farming area, a fishing pond, and a quarry. It was designed with multiplayer in mind, but works for solo saves too. Choose it before creating your character: the farm map cannot be changed later.
How Four Corners Farm is laid out
The map divides the farm into four terrain-inspired quadrants. The Stardew Valley Wiki lists 2,952 tillable tiles and 562 non-tillable tiles that can still hold buildings. For comparison, its Farm Maps page lists 3,427 tillable tiles for Standard Farm, so Four Corners offers less crop ground in exchange for distinct resource and activity areas. What each corner offers
Upper-left: hardwood and Mixed Seeds
The Large Stump provides a renewable hardwood feature, and Large Stumps drop 2–3 Hardwood. Special weeds in this area can yield Mixed Seeds. Keep the stump reachable and leave enough space to use the corner as a modest resource or tree-and-forage zone. Stardew Valley Wiki: The Farm
Upper-right: the main crop block
This quadrant most closely resembles Standard Farm and contains the most farming space on Four Corners. It is the natural place for a primary crop field and sprinklers if you want one organized production area. The rest of the map’s features do not create extra crop capacity, so use this open section deliberately.

Lower-left: a limited fishing option
The pond has a 50% chance of yielding fish found in the Cindersap Forest pond. Treat it as convenient occasional fishing rather than a high-efficiency fishing farm. Stardew Valley Wiki: Farm Maps
Lower-right: a level-dependent quarry
Rocks and ore or geode nodes can spawn in the quarry, with possible node types improving as Mining level rises: iron from level 4, gold from level 7, and iridium from level 10. Spawns are not a guaranteed daily supply, so leave room for nodes and keep the entrance clear. If a stump, log, or boulder blocks access, the wiki says clearing that respective obstruction requires an axe or pickaxe upgraded to steel. Stardew Valley Wiki: Farm Maps

Four Corners is explicitly designed with multiplayer in mind, but singleplayer is supported. In co-op, the four zones make it easy to agree on who uses which area; in solo play, they provide a ready-made way to separate crops, animals and buildings, resource gathering, and decoration. That organization is a planning convenience, not a special gameplay bonus. Stardew Valley Wiki: Multiplayer
In co-op, mining and foraging experience goes to the player who performs the final action or collects the item rather than being shared. Agreeing who handles a task can therefore matter if players want to develop particular skills. Multiplayer capacity and cabin or player limits vary by supported mode and platform, so check current support for your game version and platform before planning a large group. How to decide before starting your save
- Prioritize your land use. Choose Four Corners if clearly separated zones and several resource perks matter more to you than maximizing uninterrupted tillable space. Choose Standard Farm if the larger crop area is the priority.
- Plan the upper-right around crops. Keep the map’s most farm-like quadrant available for your main field and sprinklers.
- Preserve access to the resource corners. Avoid blocking the upper-left stump or the lower-right quarry entrance, and leave room in the quarry for spawns.
- Decide whether the pond is enough fishing access. Its fish chance can be useful for occasional catches, but it is not a substitute for a dedicated fishing plan.
- Make the map choice at character creation. The farm map cannot be changed after the save begins. Stardew Valley Wiki: The Farm
