The PlayStation 5 rumors have largely been settled: Starfield and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are available on PS5, and Fable is officially coming to PS5 on February 23, 2027. The Switch 2 part remains unconfirmed for all three games.
Is Starfield on PS5?
Yes. Starfield launched on PlayStation 5 on April 7, 2026, Bethesda announced. The PS5 release includes patches and updates issued since the game’s original launch, including the Free Lanes update. Bethesda’s announcement confirms availability; PlayStation’s announcement details platform features.
PlayStation highlighted DualSense features and visual modes for PS5 Pro. These are platform-specific enhancements; the cited announcement does not provide performance figures to compare the modes.
Is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PS5?
Yes. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 received its full PS5 release on December 8, 2025. Selected editions had early access beginning December 3, 2025. Microsoft’s product page lists PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PS5 Pro.

PlayStation also announced that PS VR2 support would arrive as a free update in 2026. That announcement describes the update as coming in 2026; it does not, by itself, establish a specific release date or confirm that it has already shipped. See PlayStation’s PS5 announcement for the VR2 detail.
When does Fable come out on PS5?
Fable is confirmed for PS5, but it has not yet released. Xbox’s current product page lists February 23, 2027 as the release date. The game was first announced for PS5 with an Autumn 2026 window; that earlier window has been superseded by the current date.

Xbox lists the game for Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11, while the PlayStation announcement confirms the PS5 version. Check the current Xbox product page for the listed date and PlayStation’s January 2026 announcement for the PS5 confirmation.
Are these games coming to Switch 2?
There is no official Switch 2 release confirmation for Starfield, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, or Fable in the sources reviewed. A January 2025 report from Vandal said its sources expected all three games on PS5 and Switch 2, but that was a report about sourcing—not an announcement from the publishers or Nintendo. Vandal’s report should be treated as rumor, not confirmation.

Later coverage pointed to a Starfield rating entry for Switch 2, while noting that its listed date appeared erroneous and that Bethesda and Nintendo had not announced a port. A rating entry alone does not establish that a game is coming to the platform. Windows Central’s coverage discusses that listing and its uncertainty.

The original headline grouped two platform rumors with one release rumor. The useful current distinction is that Starfield and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are already playable on PS5, Fable has a confirmed PS5 release date, and Switch 2 ports remain unconfirmed.
