How to use the hints
Look for words connected to clothing and textiles. In Strands, finding three valid non-theme words unlocks a hint that highlights one theme answer. The consulted rules explainer describes a 6-by-8 grid where you connect adjacent letters vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, can change direction, and use each letter no more than once in a word. The spangram names the theme and touches opposite sides of the board. These are general rules described by the independent site Strands.Game, which says it is not affiliated with The New York Times.
