How Strands hints work
In Strands, drag or tap adjacent letters to form words that fit the theme. Theme words remain blue and fill the board without overlapping. The spangram describes the theme, connects two opposite edges, and may consist of two words; it turns yellow when found. Find three words that are not theme answers to earn a hint, which reveals letters from a theme word. Parade’s guide reproduces these game rules and notes that the spangram can contain two words.
