What Capcom announced—and what the leak got right
In April 2026, reports circulated that Year 4 DLC would add Tifa, Vega, Mike Haggar, and Gouken. GamesRadar reported that the rumor originated with a Reddit user who had previously named the Season 2 lineup, while also noting uncertainty around some of the reported names. The official announcement describes Tifa as an Avalanche member who practices Zangan-ryu and specializes in close-range combat. Bosch is described as the second World Tour protagonist. Is Mike Haggar confirmed for Street Fighter 6?
No. Haggar is not among the four characters Capcom announced for Year 4. The leak is not official confirmation, and the announced roster does not establish whether Capcom might add him in a later update. The accurate distinction is that he is absent from the announced Year 4 lineup—not that he has been definitively ruled out for the future.
When are the Year 4 characters scheduled to arrive?

Capcom says Year 4 content will be released sequentially. Its announcement also lists a physical Years 1–2 Fighters Edition, but that edition is not presented as including Year 4 DLC. Why did Capcom choose Tifa?
In an interview with MeriStation, director Takayuki Nakayama and producer Shuhei Matsumoto discussed the selection. One response was, “No tardamos en pensar en Tifa” (“It didn’t take us long to think of Tifa,” in English). They also described an approach that included building the player community in countries such as India and the Philippines, represented by Arjun and Yasmine.
