Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon has received PS5 optimization work, but the available official notes do not establish that it now runs at a consistently stable frame rate. The developer reported a 3–5 FPS improvement in version 1.16, and later updates list specific fixes—not a full PS5 performance benchmark or a guarantee of smooth play throughout the game.
Has PS5 performance improved?
Yes, according to the developer. In its version 1.16 announcement, Awaken Realms and Questline reported a 3–5 FPS boost across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. That is a developer-reported improvement, not an independent PS5 measurement. It does not show how the game performs in every area or whether a particular frame-rate target is maintained.

What do later updates fix?
The official announcement history includes a console fix for slow world loading after fast travel and a fix for large FPS drops in Sarras ending cutscenes. These are targeted changes. The notes do not provide a comprehensive before-and-after PS5 test or establish that all performance issues have been resolved.
Is the frame rate stable on the base PS5?
The available official information does not verify a current PS5 frame-rate target, resolution, graphics modes, or frame pacing across locations. There is no controlled PS5 benchmark in the cited sources, so a specific average FPS or claim of a locked frame rate would be unsupported.

A reviewer dated February 15, 2026, described screen tearing and a hitch during autosaves; another, dated November 1, 2025, said technical issues seemed largely ironed out to them. These accounts show that experiences can differ, but they cannot establish how frequently the issues occur or how the current build performs overall. The PlayStation Store listing confirms the PS5 version and DualSense features, not performance specifications.
