Reversed Front has a Steam listing, but no confirmed release date. Steam currently labels the release timing “To be announced” and says the game is not yet available, so the page does not establish when—or whether the announced plan will proceed.
Is Reversed Front coming to Steam, and when?
ESC Taiwan is listed as the developer and publisher of Reversed Front on Steam. The store page presents the game as an upcoming release, with a wishlist option, but gives no date: its timing is “To be announced.” Treat that as an unconfirmed schedule, not a launch window.
The listing supports that a digital Steam version is planned; it does not say when it will launch. It also does not establish whether the release plan has changed since the listing was created. Check the Steam page for the displayed status rather than relying on an older announcement.
What kind of game is the Steam version?
Steam classifies Reversed Front as a Simulation and Strategy game. According to the publisher’s description, it is a politically charged fictionalized conflict set across a place called the Cathayan Continent. The game describes nine playable factions and 269 territories; these are details of its fictional setting, not real-world historical claims.

The central strategic unit is an “Organisation.” The description presents these as mobilized groups operating in territories, with resistance and government-control roles that vary by faction.
Other described systems include faction-specific headquarters and support regions, internal conflict, diplomacy, foreign aid, and efforts to weaken opponents through peaceful or forceful means. The publisher also outlines faction-specific victory conditions. For example, one resistance victory threshold is reaching 14 active organizations in walled-in territories; the Communist faction can win by surviving to the final turn or conquering Taiwan.

How the Steam game relates to the board game
The Steam title is connected to the physical board game Reversed Front: Dear Revolutionaries, which BoardGameGeek lists as a 2021 game. An ESC Taiwan project update links the English-language tabletop Kickstarter with the Steam page. The tabletop title and the Steam listing are related products, but the connection does not make them the same edition or establish that the board game is currently in stock.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Reversed Front: Bonfire the same game?
No. The official Reversed Front site also describes Reversed Front: Bonfire, a related mobile game. Its faction and mechanics descriptions differ in some particulars from those on Steam, so details for Bonfire should not be assumed to describe the Steam version. The site says commercial use of game materials requires prior consent from the developer.
