TT Games revised the recommended RAM requirement for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight from 32 GB to 16 GB during PC testing. The current Steam listing now specifies 16 GB for both minimum and recommended configurations. The change addresses the RAM figure that drew attention, but it does not mean the rest of the recommended PC requirements are modest—or establish how the game will perform on any particular system.
What changed in the PC requirements
On February 17, 2026, PC Gamer reported a statement posted on Steam and attributed to TT Games: “As part of our ongoing testing for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on PC, we have revised our recommended hardware specifications from 32 GB of RAM down to 16 GB of RAM.” The post also said the PC specifications were not final and that the studio would continue optimizing the game as launch approached. Steam’s listing separates the minimum configuration from its recommended target. Compare your PC against the tier you care about across every listed component; matching the RAM alone is not enough to meet the full configuration.

What the change means if you are checking your PC
If your system has 16 GB of RAM, it meets the current listing’s memory figure at either tier. That does not establish that it meets the minimum or recommended configuration overall: processor, graphics hardware and, for the recommended tier, available storage also matter. Requirements describe a stated target, not a guarantee of a particular frame rate or experience.

Do not treat the requirement change as evidence that frame generation is necessary, that the game will or will not run on a Steam Deck, or that any specific PC will perform well. The listed requirements and the RAM update provide no controlled performance benchmarks. A Steam community question or complaint is not a compatibility test.

Consider a memory upgrade only if your PC has less than the listed 16 GB and you first confirm that the rest of your system is compatible with an upgrade. The correct memory depends on your computer’s motherboard and supported memory type, among other factors; the game listing does not specify a DDR generation or form factor. If your CPU or GPU falls short of a tier, adding RAM will not address that separate limitation.
