The connection is behind the scenes: GamingBolt reported that WayForward, the studio behind Shantae, joined development to help polish the game and realize producer Koji Igarashi’s vision. That is a studio contribution, not evidence of an in-game crossover.

GamingBolt’s overview says WayForward joined development in November 2018 to help polish Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The report describes a development role; it does not say that WayForward brought Shantae into the game or that the game adopted the character’s specific look. WayForward is known for the Shantae series, which the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs describes as the studio’s signature title. Its article places Bloodstained in a different lineage, describing the 2019 release as a spiritual successor from producers of the Castlevania series. The two franchises can therefore be discussed together because of WayForward’s contribution, but they remain distinct games and series. What Bloodstained’s style actually draws on
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania action-adventure with a clear classic Castlevania context. Its castle exploration, combat and character-building systems are more useful points of comparison than an assumed Shantae crossover.

Is Shantae in Bloodstained?
The available accounts establish WayForward’s development involvement, but do not establish that Shantae appears in Bloodstained or that Shantae-themed content was added. The title “The Style of Shantae Comes to Bloodstained” should not be read as confirmation of a character cameo, downloadable content or other crossover. A definitive claim about such content would require confirmation from the developers or publisher; the cited accounts do not provide it.
