Why The Last Valor is the best general PvE starting point
The September 2026 Once Human Database guide recommends SOCR – The Last Valor for PvE, and the separate unofficial tier list places it among its S-tier weapons for Manibus PvE, including silos, monoliths and Prime War. That overlap makes it the safest general recommendation in the available guides—not proof that it wins every build or encounter.
The Database guide lists 45 damage, 515 RPM and a 30-round magazine for The Last Valor. Those are its Tier 2 base figures, not a measured damage-per-second result: the guide excludes mods, calibration, armor and target effects. Shrapnel performance and build synergy can matter more than a comparison of basic stats alone.
Choose by activity and damage effect
For PvE bosses and single targets
Consider AWS.338 – Bullseye when you want the specialized single-target role identified by the guide. A sniper that rewards range or weak-spot use is not directly interchangeable with a general-purpose AR, so encounter design and your comfort with precision shots matter.

For groups and sustained fire
KVD – Boom! Boom! is a Burn LMG recommendation for group clearing. Its guide-reported 100-round Tier 2 base magazine is a practical distinction, but magazine capacity alone does not establish superior damage or clear speed. The same guide also lists MG4 – Predator among LMG options.
For Bounce and ranged beginner play
The unofficial fan tier list recommends Compound Bow as one of its S-tier Manibus PvE choices and names it alongside The Last Valor as a beginner-friendly option. Treat that as one guide’s scoped advice, not a guarantee that it is easiest for every player. For PvP
Do not carry a PvE ranking over unchanged: the Database guide names KAM – Abyss Glance as a PvP choice and also recommends AWS.338 – Bullseye for single-target damage. The fan tier list likewise separates its PvP notes from its Manibus PvE ranking. Choose for the mode rather than assuming a PvE favorite is automatically the best PvP weapon.
How to compare weapons without being misled by base stats
- Match the mode: Manibus PvE, boss encounters, group clearing and PvP put different demands on a weapon.
- Compare effects and builds: Shrapnel, Bounce, Burn and other effects can change how useful a weapon is beyond its basic damage figure. The cited guides caution that mods and build choices affect rankings.
- Account for range and encounter: A close-range group weapon, general-purpose rifle and weak-spot sniper serve different jobs.
- Consider handling: Fire rate, magazine capacity and reload cadence affect practical use, but the listed base stats are not a complete performance benchmark.
- Check the patch context: A recommendation can age when a weapon or damage effect changes.
The Once Human Database’s weapons index lists 159 weapons and provides type, rarity and basic stats such as damage, RPM, magazine capacity and ammo type. What changed in 2026—and what older guides may miss
Official developer posts in May 2026 describe AUG – Electron Cloud as able to trigger Power Surge and create a magnetic field after the first weapon hit following a reload; applying Power Surge inside that field can generate an Electric Orb. The official weapon overview also describes Bounce and Echo for Compound Bow – The Burden of Betrayal. A May 21 balance post announced adjustments to both weapons and buffs to Holographic Resonance and Memento in the May 27 (PT) update. Those changes are a reason to check patch context, not evidence that either weapon is now the best overall.
Calibration advice also changed. The official January 13, 2026 blog said calibration would be removed in the January 21 update, with calibration blueprint effects activated during crafting. How certain are these rankings?
The recommendation set reflects a September 2026 guide and an unofficial tier list updated September 6, 2026. The sources do not provide a controlled, independently measured DPS comparison across weapons and builds, or a universal winner for every mode. Their value is in narrowing the shortlist by role; your mode, damage-effect build, encounter and handling preference determine which pick fits best.
