Skate., EA and Full Circle’s free-to-play skateboarding game, entered Early Access on September 16, 2025. It launched for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S; the PC version is available through the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
When did Skate. enter Early Access?
Skate. released into Early Access on September 16, 2025. The date has passed, so it is no longer an upcoming release. Electronic Arts confirmed the launch date in its September 16, 2025 launch announcement and repeats it in the official Skate. FAQ.

Which platforms is Skate. available on?
EA lists PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. On PC, the game is distributed through the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store, according to EA’s September 12, 2025 PC requirements announcement.
The FAQ says Android and iOS versions will follow later, but that wording does not establish whether a mobile version has since launched. Check EA’s current platform listings for mobile availability rather than assuming it is playable there.

Is Skate. free to play?
Yes. EA and Full Circle described Skate. as free-to-play and free-to-download at launch. The game is an online multiplayer skateboarding sandbox set in San Vansterdam, with optional in-game purchases; a paid copy is not required to start playing. EA describes the game in its FAQ and its launch announcement.
What does Early Access mean for the game?
Early Access means Skate. is still being developed while players can play it. EA says players should expect bugs or other issues as the team continues to build and add to the game, and frames this period as the start of its live service. The FAQ puts it plainly: “For us, Early Access is just the beginning.”

Does Skate. support cross-play and cross-progression?
EA said the launch supports cross-platform play and cross-progression. Its launch announcement and August 27, 2025 Early Access development update describe those features for the game’s supported launch platforms; they should not be assumed to cover mobile unless EA confirms mobile availability and feature support.

Yes. EA says keyboard and mouse are unsupported in Early Access and a controller is required to play on PC. Its September 12, 2025 PC requirements article lists PlayStation DualShock and DualSense controllers, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S controllers, DualSense Edge, and Xbox Elite V1/V2 as compatible examples.

That same PC article says macOS, Linux, and Steam Deck are unsupported. These are EA’s stated compatibility details in its September 2025 announcement.
